Loss of public service jobs
The potential loss of EU talent has emerged as a key concern of Scotland’s public services, according to new research by the BBC.

Scottish Labour for the Single Market co-chair Kezia Dugdale said:
“This extensive research shows the devastating consequences of the Tories’ hard Brexit.
“We know that 80,000 jobs in Scotland depend on the Single Market, and now it’s clear that vital public services face bearing the brunt of the economic impact.
“With public services already in crisis as a result of Conservative and SNP austerity, this proves that – if Brexit happens – we must choose the least-worst economic option and remain in the Single Market and Customs Union. But given what is at stake here, demands for a People’s Vote on the final deal are growing stronger by the day.”
